This piece is an interpretation of the famous Soviet children’s television opener “Merry Carousel”.

The artists have loosely reconstructed this fragile yet deep-rooted childhood image by not only using their own fictitious characters, but also adopting it to the personal perceptions of their native cultural background
and contemporary character design scene.

The artwork is an entirely digital 3D rendering featuring a unique effect alluding to brush-strokes that is caused by insufficient computing data. While generally speaking such a result is undesirable and not applicable in a professional domain, the artists have ventured to utilize it as an artistic mean. Absent from any attempt to simulate real media, this piece becomes the artists celebration of computer art at its full, natural, digital beauty.

Format: Giclée print on canvas. 110×100 cm. Limited edition of 30
